Application Processor

The application processing coordinators are looking for volunteers to join the application processing teams in the Southwestern region and Northern region.  Application processors are responsible for conducting veterinarian reference checks, personal reference checks, and landlord checks for potential adopters and fosters.  This information is consolidated into a report that is submitted to the Home Visit committee in preparation for the home visit.

You do not need to be located within a particular region to be an application processor – all work is conducted via phone, with occasional e-mails. Depending on your availability, the time commitment can range from 1-3 hours or 3-5 hours per week.

Requirements of the position:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Pleasant phone personality
  • Ability to contact vets/landlords during normal business hours (requires daytime availability 9am-5pm or flexibility in work to make phone calls during the day)
  • Basic computer skills (Word, web browser)

Home Visit Coordinator

The Home Visit Coordinator would take responsibility for getting home visits assigned once the reference checks have been completed (and reviewed by the board, if necessary).  The Home Visit Coordinator would send out the HV requests, track who is doing the home visits, and follow up as necessary.  The Home Visit Coordinator would also be responsible for pairing prospective home visit volunteers with shadow opportunities.

Basic requirements for the position include:

  • Comfortable with regular use of RescueGroups (training available if necessary)
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Excel 
  • Attention to detail
