I cannot believe Spice is still looking for her forever home!

How is it possible that this stunning, sweet, and gentle girl hasn’t been scooped up yet? Spice came into the rescue alongside her sister, Pumpkin, after a heartbreaking start to life filled with neglect. She was so scared of the world that it took weeks before she even dared to step outside. But thanks to patience, love, and dedicated care, Spice has completely transformed. Now, she runs and plays outside with confidence, joyfully keeping up with her sister and foster siblings.

At home, Spice is everything you’d want in a shepherd—affectionate, playful, and incredibly sweet. Sure, she’s still timid in public, but in the right environment, she thrives. She’s great with other dogs, loves adventures, and is food-motivated (which makes training easier!). She hasn’t had formal obedience training yet, but that’s an opportunity for her future owner to bond with her and help her build confidence.

Because she has a tendency to herd and nip at small children, she’s best suited for a home without young kids. Older kids who can respect her space would be fine. She would do best in a home with another dog to play with and a securely fenced yard to help her safely adjust, as she may try to flee until she settles in.

Spice has already overcome so much—she just needs the right person to see her for the incredible dog she is. Could that be you?
