Hello everyone, my name is Lyra and I am looking for my forever home. I am an AKC registered German Shepherd, 7 years old.

I am really smart, eager to please when I get to know you but I am a little skittish at times and will probably hide the first time you come to visit me in my foster home. I get along great with the other dogs here although I wish they had a bit more energy to keep up with me when we play chase, I love chasing a tennis ball and I am not interested in cats, I watch the one that lives here but will not chase or harass her. My foster parents think I will be fine with children but it may take me a while to get to trust them.

I walk well on a leash, can sit,stay on command and have not had a single accident in the house, I will let you know when I need to go outside.

When I get to know and trust you I will be by your side but not under your feet all the time, I have no interest in jumping on furniture and am happy on my doggy bed.

I love the job of guarding the house and will certainly let people know that I am here.
