Meet Scout!
Scout is supposed to be 7 years old according to his paperwork, but after a trip to the vet, Dr. Carskaddan thinks he is bit younger.
Poor Scout lost his home when his owner moved to an apartment where Scout was not welcome. Scout is friendly to all he meets and has been busy trying to get my dogs to play with him. He really enjoys his squeaky football too. He rides well in the car and walks well on a leash. Scout is a mostly low key kind of fellow that greatly enjoys cuddling on the bed and rolling around on his back being goofy. He is quiet, but will howl along with the pack when they sing to a siren passing by. (we live near a firehouse!)
He has a slight facial deformity (probably the result of an accidental injury that was not treated) on the right hand side of his muzzle - he will be having surgery to correct this tomorrow so if you would like to make a donation in his name to help cover his expenses it would be greatly appreciated!
Scout is housebroken, non-destructive and fine when left alone. He does not need to be crated! The only issue he has is some food aggression toward the other dogs. But - you can't hold it against him because he needs to gain about 10 pounds! His food aggression is (thankfully!) limited toward the dogs and not toward people. We have had a couple of "dust ups" over rawhides and food bowls. My dogs are mostly to blame for this because my one dog, Sister, loves to torture other dogs by repeatedly trying to jam her rawhide into his mouth and then growling when he tries to take it! She is weird!
We don't know if he is cat friendly, or not.
If you are looking for a mellow guy, who is well behaved, very affectionate and loves to cuddle, Scout could be your guy! For more information, please contact GSDhouse@comcast.net More about Scout 2224Good with Dogs, Does Good in the Car, Likes to play with toys, Playful, Affectionate, Goofy
