12-31-15 Hi there - I'm Star! I've finished raising my beautiful puppies and they have all gone to wonderful homes. I've lost weight but am now actually the perfect size and all my bones don't stick out anymore. Those puppies were huge and wore me out. Since I've gotten healthy, my whole attitude toward life has changed. I'm still the most loving and happy girl you will ever meet, but I have found my energy and lust for life. Playing a lot is my daily goal. I love playing with other young energetic dogs my size and can go for hours and hours without stopping for a nap. I love my people and can lay on the couch and snuggle like crazy. I am happiest with something to do because when I get bored I collect things. These things are not always my toys, although I really believe everything could be mine. I love taking my toys from one room to another and like to have them around me wherever I am. I think I would like to try some sort of sport or nosework because I am much smarter than everyone thinks. I watch everything and never miss anything. I love to make people happy and I love baby talk. I also want to be the center of your universe. They are fixing me up this week so there won't be anymore kids for me to raise and that's really good, but I was a wonderful mom. I chase squirrels and have no idea what I would think of a cat because I have never known one. But...if it runs I would like to chase it. I dream of a home with someone who is home a lot and a friend or two to play with. Being alone makes me bored so they always put me in a crate. I hate that and it makes me depressed, so please don't make me do that much. I will love you and be with you forever. They say I must have a fenced in yard. I like walks and all people and kids I meet. I've also never met another dog I didn't like. Please consider me if you think I would fit in your life well. 

10-14-15 Star whelped five puppies this morning, three males and two females. She and the puppies are doing well.

10-8-15  Star came from a rural high kill shelter in a very pregnant way. She had some fleas and needed vaccinations and worming, but she is surprisingly healthy. It is unknown how many puppies she will have, what the mix is or when they are coming,  so stay tuned...we will let you know when she whelps!
