German Shepherd Dog (medium coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Adult
Lucy is a petite female GSD. She is very active and likes to stick close to her people. She tested well with cats and is okay with my other shepherds. She is crate trained but would prefer not to be confined. I have not left her alone in the house unless she is crated but she has done okay being allowed free roam when I am home and sleeps by the foot of the bed at night.
She is able to jump a four foot fence but has only done to get to the rest of us. Lucy is timid at first and warms up slowly but once she decides you are okay she does okay. She is hand shy around her head and has mouthed me when I try to lead her by the collar but I have no trouble putting a leash on her when I need to.
She pulls on the leash at first but is okay after she realizes what we are going to do.
Lucy will need an experienced owner who has the patience to help her get over her shyness and because she is so timid I would not recommend her being around young children.
