Jaxon is 14 months old GSD that is very sweet and gets along pretty fast with his 3yo foster GSD sister.  He likes to tease and chases his foster sister.  While he is very joyful, it took time for him to adapt to the new environment.   

He was very nervous when he got to his foster home.  He seemed afraid of playing, and tried to avoid eye contact with his foster sister.  In addition, he could not climb up/down the stair.  After a day, his attitude has changed tremendously.  He has shown courage to play, chase, and wrestle with his foster sister.  And most of all, he loves to play fetch.  We observed that Jaxon learnt from his foster sister as to how to climb up/down the stairs, where it is currently not a problem for him.

There is no indication that he shows hostility toward other dogs and/or kids (big and small).  In addition, there is no indication that he is a “food aggression” type of dog, given that we tried to take away his bowl while he was eating, and tried to take food/toys from his mouth.

I believe he had very minimum training before, as he has no leash manner but knows sit and would sit for treat/his food/balls. I also do not think that his previous owner walked him regularly, as he barks and tries to chase passing cars when we are on walk. But he settles down and is fine couple minutes after I corrected him (no barking and chasing, just whining). He definitely needs some training and we are working on some of them. He doesn’t like his crate, and managed to escape once. But he can be trusted, and I let him loose in the house with his foster sister.

Jaxon is a very smart boy. With proper training and enough exercise, he would be an awesome family dog!!
