Gogo is an unusual name but it fits her because she’s GO-ing to give you kisses, she’s GO-ing to want to snuggle and she’s GO-ing to make you feel like the most important person in the world, if you’re the right person for her.
Gogo’s history is a mystery until a few weeks before her rescue by VGSR. It looks like she had lots of puppies, but that phase of her life is over. She came through her spay surgery like a champ!
Gogo’s friendly, upbeat, and she loves to meet people. She hasn’t had much formal training but she’s eager to please, even more so if she thinks she’ll get a treat. She’s learning to walk nicely on a leash, and to sit and stay before going out the door or eating her food. She’s a good dog park dog and likes chasing balls or Frisbees but won’t always bring them back to you. She quickly falls asleep in the car. She hasn’t gotten into any trouble around the house, no chewing on anything inappropriate, but she does love her chew toys. If you’re her person she will follow you everywhere but she’ll happily lie down and chew on a toy or take a nap wherever you are. She hasn’t barked inside at all, not even when someone came to the door. Outside she barked at a few small dogs who were yapping at her.
Gogo’s challenge is that she suffers from separation anxiety. Gogo needs a home where people are around most of the time. She loves her peeps! Gogo’s done well at our house where Dad works mostly from home and we use a dog walker if he’s out of the house for an extended period. She did NOT do well in a foster home where she was left alone all day so that’s not an option for her.
Gogo came to us very thin and with an upset tummy. We’re making progress in that area but we want to be certain her digestive health is fully restored and that she gains a few pounds before allowing her to move on and smother her new family with love.
