3/27/14:  Salem 3916 is a young, intact black and tan female GSD with floppy ears and a plush coat who weighs 68 pounds. She is said to be eight months old. She is a large goofy girl who loves people and gets along well with other dogs. She plays hard with other dogs and may be too much for small children. She needs some manners, but is easily corrected by other dogs or humans. She is an eager to please girl who is very smart. She does not understand many things, like hardwood floors and objects she has never seen. She initially shows fear, but quickly gives something new a try and then is ok with it. Her ears may never stand up, but she will be a wonderful companion. She knows some basic obedience but the puppy in her often makes her forget. There were no problems at all in handling her, lifting or pulling and prodding on her. She is housebroken. She is a delightful pup with lots of energy, but is not out of control.  She is currently in heat. It should resolve in a couple more weeks when she will be spayed.

4/20/14: Salem is now spayed and going to training classes. She is a very affectionate girl and does well with all people. and dogs large and small. This girl is a gem...don't let her get away! A gorgeous, loving plush coated girl!
