Tara was picked up as a stray and placed in a shelter in a very rural partof WV. When she arrived, she was scared, skinny and had no idea how to be part of an indoor pack. In the last month, Tara has become house-trained, crate-trained, learned sit, down and no, and developed relationships with her foster siblings and parents. She has become a very affectionate and adored member of her foster family. Tara loves to play with other dogs, but is also very good at entertaining herself. She will run laps and toss toys around on her own for hours.
Tara has a fear of riding in cars, but we are working through it. She is eager to learn and keeps very close to her foster sister. Tara observes Ginger’s behaviors and mannerisms in different situations and then she tries to mimic what she sees. Since she has been riding in the car with Ginger lately, who loves car rides, Tara’s car anxiety is reducing little by little.
Tara is very much a typical GSD puppy. She has lots of energy, toy drive, goofiness and a big heart. She is still a bit mouthy when her energy levels are high so she will need clear boundaries and continual training. She is very intelligent and so far her training has been rapid and successful. She is a stunning, little girl and never fails to make her foster family laugh and keep them entertained.
