Update 27 January 2018 Etana is back and better than ever. She has been very good with my dogs and loves her toys. She is very obedient and is great in the house. She has shown signs of wanting to play with a couple of mine and is getting better at it every day. Jul 6, 2013 Etana (Tana) is the best kept secret! A sweet, beautiful, gentle, and loving girl she is also an exceptional house guest. She has superb manners and has integrated nicely with our Lab, German Shepherd, and Yorkie. Housetrained, she does not need to be crated yet she crates beautifully when we need to leave for a couple hours. She is a bit too interested in our cat; not overly aggressive to leap over the child gate but very focused and probably would be best in a home without a cat. At 2 years young Tana has spunk and enjoys play, in fact she amuses herself with a Kong or rope toy. My assessment after a week is that her previous owner worked with her as she knows “sit” and “down” (although she doesn’t stay down very long); her recall is excellent and she loves playing ball and will drop the ball for you with no struggle. Tana is slender and her coat is healthy. She is not jazzed to have her nails clipped but will allow it when done slowly and not all toes at the same sitting. She lets her ears be cleaned with no problem. Tana is not food driven so any reward for her is hugs and love rather than treats! We practice good manners when it is time to eat and she sits and waits until the “release” command is given to all 4 dogs. I have walked Tana on a regular collar and she pulls quite a bit; however, with a training prong collar she is a princess and needs little to no correction.
