Looking for a laid back companion dog? Looking for low energy, high affection? Look at Canon.  We call Canon a dog in semi-retirement.  He likes to chase a squirrel, but then he likes to just lay around and hang out.  He is friendly and good with kids. He has a lot to say too. He "talks" to you with growls and whines and he likes to be right in your face when he is doing it. It is a good thing his prior owner explained this because it could be misinterpreted, but instead, it is really funny.  Canon is good with most other dogs, but does not want a playmate. He will carry a ball around, but he won’t chase it. It’s all part of his semi-retirement mode.  He has a great bark and will alert you to someone coming near, then he just wants to meet them and get some attention. Canon is well trained. He knows sit, get out and no and will go to the back door to be let out. He is house trained, crate trained, walks well on a leash, and likes rides in the car. Canon is neutered, up to date on shots
