I am Sarge and I am large. Okay, so I am working on losing a few pounds but do not expect me to shrink too much. I am a big boy.

Before coming to my foster home I spent several days with a professional trainer. I loved him soooo much and he started teaching me what I should and should not do. I’ve learned a lot already but it will be very important for the future love of my life to be confident and committed to continuing my education. I need guidance with things like meeting people because this social stuff is new to me, but once I make a friend I am a really happy guy and I even give smooches.

I’m very good in the house but if you want me to be in my crate I won’t complain. I like car rides and being brushed is great. Belly rubs are even better! Most of the time I walk right by my mom’s side but sometimes I need reminding. I sit and wait to be told that it’s okay to eat from my food bowl, and when I am eating Mom rubs my head a lot and sometimes puts her hand in my bowl and I do not mind. I know basic commands like "sit", "down", and "load" (for going in my crate), but I do not always understand that;come, means right now, so I am practicing that often.Right now I am living with a smaller, female GSD. She is old and kind of frail and wobbly so she was not thrilled having me around at first but she is getting used to me. We hang out around the house together and Mom and Dad keep a watchful eye so I don't knock her over with my largeness and enthusiasm. If you are willing to put in some time and help me keep learning, I will be an amazing best friend and I will smother you with love.
