Salem is a lovely young lady approximately 2 years old that loves to show her affection by bringing you her favorite bone of the day, toy of choice, or speaking to you as you in this adorable little growl/bark as you walk in the door even if you have only been gone for an hour. She is a very well proportioned 51lb Dutch Shepherd is active and loves to go to the Dog Park, play fetch in the yard, take a run on the treadmill or even go for a walk at least once a day, then for the rest of the day she would love to sit next to her soon to be owner chew a bone, play with her toys and nap. Salem is a Dutch Shepherd which is a cross of a Belgian Malinos and a German Shepherd. This breed has the best of both breeds with the build of the shepherd and the smaller size of a Malinos gives them the ability to be the perfect all around dog. They are smart, love to work and please their master while at the same time cuddle with you and watch a movie, great personality and super family dogs. Salem had a rough beginning and is a little shy at first but give her a few moments or even a day or two and she'll be your cuddle buddy, play ball for hours, play tug-o-war with you or your canine companion, be your walking/running partner head out for a ride as she loves to get into the car, she will sit by the front door waiting for her companion to return from work as she's a luv bug. She is working on basic obedience commands and learns fast as she knows sit, down, come, wait and still working on walking. Salem currently lives with four other dogs ranging from 3lbs to 110lbs and there isn't a dog she has meet that she doesn't like. She also is living with two 16 year old cats that think they own the world and she has no problem with that. She has been introduced to children and does well with Older Children in the teens that do not want to hug and kiss her all the time as she does not live with any at the current time and doesn't understand that children are little humans.
