About THRESH

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Ear Type: Natural/Uncropped
This probably isn't the best way to promote Thresh, but I'm going to start with all the reasons you shouldn't consider Thresh as your new dog. He's loud. He barks and whines in his crate sometimes. He shouldn't go to someone with close neighbors (condos, apartments, townhomes). He's unruly. He has very little obedience and is almost 100 lbs. He has no idea how large he is. He will knock children over in his exuberance. Formal obedience is a requirement. He shows entirely too much interest in cats to be placed in a home with them. He would very much like to drive, or at least co-pilot in the car. He needs to be restrained while in a vehicle. He needs a fenced yard, unless you are active enough to diligently walk him at least three times daily or provide him with other exercise. Now, if you've read this far, and are unfathomed by the information above, let me tell you that Thresh is a magnificent dog. He's smart. He's a big cupcake, and will lean into your hard for a good rub, and will often roll onto his back for belly rubs. He likes to play with other dogs, and although he's forward when meeting dogs, he's also very forgiving. He is likely house trained, although a crate is an absolute *must* to acclimate him into a new household. I can definitely see him being a couch-potato, but will need an active person/family to drain his energy daily.
