7/28/24. Happy Sunday! I know it's been a while since my last post but I've been busy and I want to tell you all about it! I'm still with my foster family and while they have been out of town a couple times, I went to another foster family and the other foster family has an actual swimming pool for us dogs and I have been swimming in the pool and having a blast!

I have learned basic commands and it's easy for my foster mom to train me since I am "treat-motivated".  I know "bed", "sit", "shake", "down" and I am still working on heeling perfectly during walks but I don't pull on the leash so my foster parents enjoy walking me.

I'm still a little shy when new people come around so my foster parents are great about telling anyone else to just come in, don't approach me and let me just approach them when I'm ready.  Then I get lots of pets on my head.  My foster mom really wishes she knew what my 2 years of life was like before now but they don't know and I haven't told them.

I'm in my kennel for up to 8 hours during the work day.  I don't mind - it's big enough for me to lay down comfortably.  My foster mom would like me to be in a permanent family where 8 hour kennel days while she's at work aren't a thing - that would be ideal.  But neither of my foster parents work from home so I just chill and they do their absolute best to walk and love me first thing in the morning and then right when they get home, then I hang out with them up until bedtime.

I have my spay surgery on August 12 so I'll be ready to move into your home on Saturday August 17 at the earliest.  I'm also being treated for heartworm but that should not be a problem when I'm adopted.  My foster parents can educate you about all that, if you don't know about it and want to learn.

If you have any questions, please contact my foster dad.

6/22/24. Happy Saturday! I went to a dog park and Home Depot this morning with my foster parents. I didn’t have any dog friends to play with at the dog park so my foster mom will try again tomorrow earlier in the morning when it’s not as warm.  I did well at Home Depot with the five adults that I met.

My foster parents want everyone to know that in the past few days I was very good at a party hosted inside their house. The two times I came downstairs just for introductions, I was curious and not as shy as just a few days prior. I can now go up to their second floor, the first couple times I had to be carried because that one long flight of stairs seems daunting! Now I am comfortable with it. I’ve also been in my foster mom’s minivan four times in the past two days! I’m also getting comfortable and familiar with that.

My foster Mom believes that repetition and familiarity are what’s helping me come out of my shell.  Please enjoy more photos of me. Have a great weekend!
6/14/24.  Hello, my name is Loli. I have been with my foster family since June 12. They call me Loli or Lily and I respond to both. I am 2 years old and arrived from a shelter in North Carolina. Nobody knows my past, but my foster family is excited to tell you what they have observed about me.

I was pretty shy most of my first afternoon with my foster family but by evening I was warming up to their scent and I approached them. They took me out on a walks that night and learned very quickly that I adore walking! I walk fairly decent on a leash and love to sniff all the wonderful smells out there!  My foster mom plans to teach me how to heel on walks although she says I’m already 70% there!

I have good hips and act very healthy. I even jumped the 2 steps in their backyard. I am clean and already have been brushed a lot. I eat well. I don’t bark yet and I have just been taking everything in. Little kids have come up to my foster parents and asked if they could pet me. I respond well to them. I have not been introduced to any other animals yet by my foster family, but they intend to introduce me to other dogs soon. I’ll let you know how I do!

I did put my front paws up on their kitchen counter a couple times, but they quickly said no and I quickly went back down. I didn’t grab any food from there.

I’ve been eating and drinking my water well. I’m heartworm positive but all getting the right medicine and getting the rest of my vaccines soon as well as getting spayed. Approved adopters may email Loli’s foster at tsrogstad@gmail.com
