6/20/24: Artemis is a 45 lbs GSD mix. She was born in April 2023 and surrendered to VGSR with her 3 siblings when they were only a few weeks old. "Artie" is spayed, UTD on shots, on preventives, and crate trained. Artie is very loyal and affectionate, but also shy and people-reactive. This means she will need a very patient adopter who will earn her trust with patience and forgiveness. This will be necessary because Artie currently has a very well defined comfort zone and she will need time to adapt to a new situation. She currently lives with two other GSDs and plays with both, but it takes a while for her to feel comfortable with another dog. Artie is being fostered in Arlington (22204) and typically participates in the Potomac Yard adoption events in Alexandria.
