German Shepherd Dog (medium coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Young
Introducing Taz, an 8 month old male shepherd which came into the rescue from a shelter in NC that picked him up as a stray. He has not had any training, so as expected was very mouthy and full of undirected energy when he came into our home. Typical of strays, they are food motivated, which is a great motivator for continued training, he also makes great eye contact. He has proven to be a quick learner, is now crate trained, walks well on a leash, cat inquisitive but not aggressive, gets along with other dogs both small and large. We are continuing to work on impulse control and mouthiness when he gets excited. He attended the Fredericksburg Petsmart event last Saturday and did very well meeting a variety of people. He is athletic, playful, and wants to please. An ideal adopter would be active family and willing to continue his training to give him the structure he needs as an outlet for his energy. He has much love to give and would be ideal companion. For more information approved adopters can contact me at rodschlemm@gmail.com.
