Meet Sabre 6273. She’s a sister to Freyja 6275 and Nova 6274. These girls were rescued from a shelter in NC where they were surrendered by their owners. The girls came to us unnamed, but have learned their names already.
Sabre is the most fearless, she will get right in there with our dogs and even run up to them and bark in their face... and then run away! Sabre loves to grab a stick and have a chew in the yard…as long as Nova doesn’t steal it!
During the day, she and her sisters are currently in a playpen that’s 26” high and Sabre has become an escape artist! She will be over and out in a flash if you’re not paying attention! However, she’s learning to listen when we tell her “get down” or “don’t do it.” The girls came to us not potty/crate trained, so we’re working on that as well. Although they’re not potty trained in regards to a crate, Sabre and her sisters do sleep well in their crate overnight.
The girls are living with a Husky, two GSDs, a GSD/Great Pyrenees mix, and a cat. Currently the majority of the interaction with the cat has been through the playpen and they’ll just bark at the cat. All of the girls are getting along really well with all of our dogs and are fearless in going up to them, but are learning to respect boundaries when our dogs tell them to!
We will update Sabre’s bio as we learn more about her. Approved adopters can email her Foster Mom at:
