10/21/22: Jasper is a gorgeous bi-color young boy. He is estimated to be around 1 year old. Jasper has had a rough life. He and 3 other GSDs found themselves in a rural shelter due to a neglect case where he was living in horrendous living conditions. Jasper doesn't appear to have had much human interaction and we suspect the interaction that he did have may not have been pleasant. Despite all of this, Jasper is one the most gentle and sweet dogs. He is experiencing many new things and is shy when meeting new people and in new environments. Jasper is learning that leashes are not harmful and that people are good. In the short time he has been in foster care he is gaining confidence each day and when he gets the courage to give snuggles he will burrow his head into you and gives the kind of love that will melt your heart. Jasper is potty trained and has not had any accidents. He is also crate trained although he probably does not need one. He is great with other dogs and is very neutral and submissive. He would likely do fine with cats based on his personality. Jasper hasn't learned the stairs yet but we will start working on that soon. He has been neutered and vetted with no health concerns.
