Ranger is an exceptional German Shepherd. He came to us scared and and very unsure of his surroundings. He came from a home with multiple children and just wasn’t getting the love and attention such a sweet pup deserves. He is so well trained. He comes when called, he goes to his crate on one word and he will sit, stay, paw, etc. He LOVES toys but he will drop it immediately when asked. Such a gentleman! He’s a great dog in the winter because wherever I am, he sits on my feet. I don’t even need socks in the house anymore! He is food motivated. He loves food and may counter surf if things are left out and he’s smart enough to get into the 50 pound bag of Costco dog food if your not watching. He will react by barking and pulling on his leash when he sees other dogs on walks, but - he will do anything for treats and we have been using them on walks to keep him focused on us and not to react to other animals outside. He is a VERY calm dog inside, he will bark a few times at delivery people and workers but he doesn’t seem to get too excited over it. He has been living with my older female shepherd and they play a lot and they stay together. They get along really well and he would probably benefit with having another dog. Ranger loves kids, loves my kids, loves the neighborhood kids. He’s a family dog!

Ranger is thin and could still gain a few pounds but otherwise seems to be a pretty healthy young boy.
