Are you looking for a stereotypical German Shepherd personality but with a unique look? Meet Ruby! She is a brindle German Shepherd which is quite pretty and she turns heads when you walk her down the street. She is 3 years old and 70lbs of sassy personality. She’s from a home in southern Virginia where they could no longer care for her.

She is very well behaved in the home and is crate trained and potty trained. Since she has been in her foster home, she has not had a single accident in the house and does well in her crate during the day. She can be a little anxious in her crate when she first realizes you are leaving but if you give her something to distract her like a dental treat, she settles down quickly. She becomes attached to people she likes very quickly and is incredibly loyal.

She also gets along well with the resident foster animals. She is learning to play with the resident lab mix and she will give him sweet little kisses when she is excited. She is also very respectful of the resident cat’s space. First impressions are very important to Ruby. So if you ignore her and let her come to you, then give her treats, you will be good for forever. Like a typical German Shepherd, she is protective of the ones she loves and needs to be told that it is unnecessary.
