Tess is a VGSR return. When she first came into Rescue, she lived under her my kitchen table for several days before realizing she was safe. Gradually, Tess began to open up, but she requires time and patience as she will become defensive if she feels uncomfortable. Tess will let you know with a growl, but responds quickly to gentle correction, obedience commands and positive reinforcement, especially dog biscuits.
Tess lives with a feline and two, 18 month old male foster dogs and all get along very well. Tess is good at the vet and enjoys leisurely walks.
As Tess is not good for little children or high activity homes, she will thrive with a family that wants her all for themselves and will gradually introduce her to new environments.
Tess does, initially, require space and time to get to know you, but once she has bonded with you - she is the sweetest gal. She is very sensitive and if you had a bad day at work, she will come and lay her head on your lap and relax with you.
