A few weeks ago this little guy was found in a ditch on the side of the road. He's estimated to be about 4 1/2 months old. He was brought to the animal hospital for evaluation and care and through x-rays, he was found to have a broken pelvis. His pelvis was so severely fractured that although surgery was attempted, it was not successful. He has spent several weeks in a hospital and is now finishing his recovery with his new foster. Despite the rough start to his life, he has a fighting spirit. He tries to be mobile even though he can't currently place weight on his back right leg and needs to just be resting. Nordo 5447 has a long road of recovery ahead including physical therapy and more diagnostics to monitor the healing process as he grows. His pelvis will always be misaligned and that may lead to some issues down the road, but we are hoping that he will heal and have a good happy life with few complications.
