Temp test: Sasha is a 4 yoa spayed female. She is black & tan and weighs ~ 80 pounds. She is UTD on vaccinations and owner has vaccination records to pass on. Owner states Sasha is not taking HW preventative. Sasha is being surrendered due to a change in the owner’s work schedule. When we entered the home, Sasha was a bit shy. As soon as I sat down on the sofa, however, she came over and sat down at my side and stayed there. Sasha lives with two male German Shepherds. She also lived with smaller dogs (male & female) in the past with no problem. While there are no indoor cats, there are outdoor cats and Sasha is fine with them. There is a new baby in the household and Sasha is fine with the baby. There are no other children in the home. Sasha allowed petting all over. She had no problems with touching/squeezing her feet, looking at her teeth and in her ears repeatedly. She allowed a towel rub, pressure on her shoulders, collar & tail tug. We took Sasha outside on a leash to meet Jesse, 10 yoa Golden Retriever. Sasha was appropriate in her greetings. She and Jesse walked side by side with no issues. I repeated the touching/handling tests with same positive results. Sasha does pull on the leash if allowed, but responded to correction. Sasha did fine with a food bowl and allowing me to touch the food and pull the bowl away. She also took treats gently. She allowed me to give her a rawhide and take it back several times. This is a great dog that is being rehomed due to no fault of her own. It appears she would be an easy dog for a first time foster. She has always lived with multiple other dogs. I would have no reservations bringing her into my home. More about Sasha 4469Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids, Good with Adults
