Hi, I'm Sam and I'm a really nice boy.  I came from a shelter in WV and am now living in a home with lots of other dogs.  I get along with all of the other dogs and with cats.  I love to snuggle and to be close to my person.  There is nothing better than a good belly rub and I love to sleep snuggled up close with my person too.  I'm not a high energy guy so I won't be bouncing off the walls.  I like to chill out. Don't get me wrong - I like to chase squirrels as much as the next guy, just not all the time.  I'm a little overweight.  But hey, so I have a little extra padding around the middle.  

I'm about 4 years old and have a thick sable coat.  

I'm pretty strong and pull on the leash.  So I'll need some basic training.

I do have a bit of a bum thyroid and have to take medicine for hypothyroidism. The vet said that I'm not showing clinical signs of it but just tested for it.  It is not a big deal.  My foster mom looked it up online and Web MD said that it is very common. It is no t life-threatening and is fairly easy and inexpensive to treat. I just have to take a thyroid pill every day.

I'm neutered and up-to-date on all my shots, so I'm ready to go.
