Diego wants to give you an update on his progress in his foster home. He loves his foster family, two legged members and four legged. Just because he looks like a couch-potato in these pictures, don't be fooled. This boy has a busy busy day, every day, and the only way to catch a picture of him was when he was worn out.
Diego starts his day early with his two young foster sisters. They have a rousing chase in the yard playing the ever popular game of "Catch the Squirrel". As we know, the squirrel always wins.
When foster mom goes to work, Diego settles down to rest. Although he is crate trained, he is completely trustworthy in the house. Later they all go out for another long game of "chase the you-know-what" or a long walk on the trail. Diego does good on the leash, too.
Handsome Diego is active and energetic. He doesn't require much but regular exercise, a comfy bed, a delish meal and lots of love. If you keep his Kong filled with peanut butter, he would be eternally grateful.
In return you get a devoted companion, with unconditional love and a squirrel-free yard!

Diego has been neutered and ready for his new home. It has been confirmed he has hip dysplasia, so he has begun the usual regime of tramadol and rimadyl. Supplements and regular exercise will assure this boy has a happy future. He now weighs in at 84 pounds. Handsome Diego is eager to meet you soon.
4/27/15 Meet handsome Diego. Diego is about 6 years old with a gorgeous, plush black and red coat. Although he has been having a blast in his foster home, playing with his two young foster sisters, mom says, "It's time for you to find a forever home". Diego, being a smart guy, has learned to be submissive to his bossy foster sister. He has not met the resident cat, so that is untested. Based on his interest in small critters, he would be better off without cats, or cats would be better off without him. Diego would love a home with other dogs to keep him company, or not. It's OK if you want to give him all your attention. Small children would not be a good fit for him. Diego is pretty easy going with everyone he meets on his regular walks. He loves a good car ride or chew toy. Squirrel chasing is his idea of a good time. Diego only has moderate exercise needs. He's polite in the house, knows all the rules: potty outside, stay off the furniture, share toys, etc. He gets along with almost everyone. So if you are looking for a BFF multi-purpose dog, couch potato on rainy days or good for a walk on sunny days, Deigo is for you.
