1/27/15 Meet Sam. Stunning pure bred GSD that had to move from his home of 6 years. He is calm and well balanced, adjusted well to the new place. I believe he would be best placed in a calmer home though, without kids. He is fine with my 2 toddlers, but the noise and high activity level does make him a bit anxious. He is great with larger dogs, not sure about small dogs. Not too interested in play, and would be great as an only dog or a companion to a calm, older dog. He is extremely closely bonded to his person, becoming a bit anxious when his person leaves the house. He does great in a crate though, but ideal adopter would be someone who can stay with him at home for most of the day. He is completely house trained, and has no food/toy guarding issues. He is not food motivated, and is content having his toy duck lying next to him at your feet. He walks fine on leash, I use gentle lead, as he would pull if he sees a squirrel. Otherwise he ignores walkers, runners, bicycles, and other dogs. He is very friendly to people, does not jump. Not mouthy. He is pretty quiet in the house, only whining a bit when his person is out of his sight. Just a content, calm, balanced gentle animal that needs to find that special person.
