Gigi is a 4 1/2 year old spayed female.  She's great with other dogs (can be shy) and has proven to do well with cats (will need continued supervision to prove whether she's entirely "cat safe", but she's currently loose in the house with several cats).  

She came to VGSR as an owner surrender due to allergies and a change in her family dynamic - no fault of her own.  She knows basic obedience, but could use a refresher course.  She is very strong on the leash.  

She's lived with a young kid, and the prior owner says was great meeting children in the neighborhood.  She is up-to-date on her vaccines and is ready to be adopted.  She is a perfect age - definitely out of puppyhood, but still enjoys playing and exercising.

She does have a condition that is common amongst German Shepherds, called EPI. She requires a powdered supplement added to her food at each meal.  She is thriving on the current regimen.  Gigi is currently living northwest of Frederick, MD and is happy to entertain approved applicants.
