Penny 2873 was rescued from a North Carolina shelter.  She is very shy, but has learned how to be a dog with the help of other dogs.  She is still timid in new situations, but she relaxes when she knows there is nothing to fear.  She makes frequent visits to pet-friendly businesses.  She has even been to a horse show and rodeo!

Penny will be unsure when she first meets you, but when you get her home, she will become your best friend and always be by your side.  She has done well with the cat and will do best in a home with at least one other dog.  She is sweet and loving and her tail is always wagging.  She is food motivated, so she has been easy to train.  She sleeps all night in her crate, and comfortably rests there when she is tired.

Even though she is a puppy, she is not a high-energy dog.
