I had a pretty rough start before coming to my foster home.  I was skin and bones and very sick.  My foster mom took me to the vet immediately and nursed me back to good health in no time.  I am up to date on all my shots and meds and have gained weight.  I was very frightened of the human hand; it had not been very nice to me.   I have now learned that the hand can be very friendly and loving.  I love to be petted and have my belly rubbed.  I am very affectionate after I get to know you and my surroundings.  I love being close to my people and I will lay my head right across their feet when they sit down or climb on the sofa and snuggle as close to them as possible.  I am a good protector and will bark at new people coming into my house.   I am still a tad shy of new people though, and it takes me a little time to get to know them, I’m still learning to trust.  I live with two male GSDs and love play fighting and playing chase with them. I love my foster mom and dad and my foster home, but I am really, really ready for my own forever home!   Well I guess that’s about it for now. 

I think my foster mom wants to say a few things.

Foster Mom:  Lailah is one of the sweetest little girls ever.  She is very smart, learns quickly and an absolute joy to have around.  She has the cutest personality and can be a real clown.  Lailah will need a strong patient leader who is willing to consistently work with her and give her lots of positive reinforcement!   Lailah needs an adopter who has experience with this wonderful breed, preferably a fenced yard, older considerate children only, no cats and not much alone time.
