This sweet, playful, love bug is Luke, and he is pretty amazing!  This beautiful boy is crate trained, potty trained (not one accident in the house!), knows basic commands, walks well on a leash, does great in the car, doesn't counter surf, is a cuddle bug, loves belly rubs, loves treats, loves to be loved, and loves to play with toys. Luke doesn't like to be away from his people.  He has to be where you are, and as long as his forever family understands that and doesn't leave him away from them for too long, Luke will flourish.  Don't worry, Luke is not an anxious dog and is fine while the family is away at work and school; he happily goes in his crate and settles in for a busy day of sleeping while he patiently waits for the family to return. Did I mention he is a lap dog? He wants to get in your lap, and he sits, gives you his paw, lays and promptly rolls over for his favorite thing- belly rubs.

Luke has an amazing personality, and is really all about people. He likes dogs too, but we have not tested him around cats.  He loves kids, and loves to be outside when the kids are outside.I recommend older kids, but I am sure he can be trained to not be so excited around the littles.  He loves to run outside and play, so a yard would be best for this playful boy.

Luke is very handsome! His light brown eyes are mesmerizing. He is a medium sized GSD, around 65 pounds, but he has a little weight to put on. His fur is soft to the touch. He is almost perfect; we are working on him not jumping when he sees you.  He is easily corrected, and only jumps once. He can't help it though - he gets so happy to see you it really melts your heart. I think it's his way of trying to give hugs.

Luke was an owner surrender, and I am grateful, because he gets a second chance at the loving forever family he deserves.  Please remember to have patience with a rescue, 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to get the hang of the routine, and 3 months before they really feel they are home.  Any family who ends up with this amazing dog will be very blessed!
