11/1/18  I’m baaaack. This is my second go round here at VGSR. I really liked the family that previously adopted me in July, but the older resident GSD wasn’t thrilled with me. Maybe because I’m a red head? I tried really hard to get along. I did. I like to play with other dogs but my enthusiasm wasn’t appreciated. Here at my foster home, my GSD foster sister Mika likes to turn the tables on me and chase me around the yard. I really do like being chased. Sometimes I get a little too excited and my foster mom has to remind me that I need to slow down. I’m pretty good at listening cuz I know if I don’t, Mika will kick my butt! I do have a resource guarding aggression issue with Mika. I’ve only been with mom and Mika about two weeks now but I am getting better. While we still eat in separate rooms, we can now see each other and I’m doing ok with that. Plus when mom gives us treats, I have been very good at listening and waiting my turn instead of trying to take Mika’s. To be honest, I do need work in this area but I am getting better! It may not sound like it, but I really am a sweet boy! I love going for walks and playing with my fire hose toy! I will even fetch! My previous foster mom had_­ a doggy pool and it was so much fun to get in and splash around. Here, when I'm inside, I like going into the walk-in shower; especially when mom is in there running the shower! I also like to curl up on the sofa with my head in mom’s lap. It is great when mom finally stops doing stuff in her favorite chair and moves over to the sofa so I can get up there with her. I’ve tried fitting into her favorite chair with her, but it isn’t big enough!!
